Harrison Place

Harrison Place is the most street-oriented of the Sunnyside Gardens row-house groupings. Its 83 houses are divided among nine rows spread across portions of five blocks, and every primary façade faces a public street.

Because its rows do not surround one complete block, Harrison Place has only one central garden court. Interior and through-block paths run behind most of the rows, and a long group of one-story brick garages survives between 51st and 52nd Streets. The LPC documented substantial fencing and annexation within the central garden in 2007, although the original arrangement remains legible.
