About The Sunnyside Gardens Guide

Close attention, shared clearly.

The Sunnyside Gardens Guide is Lauren Renee Bennett’s independent editorial project about the neighborhood she calls home—created to make its courts, homes, history and public record easier to understand without reducing the place to a sales narrative.

Why it exists

A more careful record of a particular place.

Sunnyside Gardens is often described in shorthand. The lived neighborhood is more specific: shared landscapes change from court to court, repeating façades hold many original types, later alterations complicate what the eye sees, and records require context.

Lauren created the Guide to make those distinctions legible. The work begins with what can be observed and sourced, leaves room for uncertainty and correction, and respects the privacy of the people who live here.

The Guide’s framework

Three ways into the same place.

The Guide moves from shared plan, to individual architecture, to documented evidence. Each lens adds context; none is treated as a shortcut to a property-level conclusion.

01 / Courts

Read the shared plan.

Landscape at court scale

Court histories and generalized diagrams show how rows, paths, gardens and street edges form distinct spatial patterns. They are interpretive guides, not property maps.

02 / Homes

Read the architectural language.

Original form, carefully qualified

The A–Z house types describe original façade composition. They do not establish a home’s current floor plan, legal use, condition, alteration history or value.

03 / Evidence

Read facts in context.

Sources, limits and interpretation

Official records, documented sources and field observation are presented with dates, sample limits and a clear distinction between what the evidence says and how it is read.

A clear boundary

One person. Two distinct contexts.

Lauren’s residence and research shape the Guide. Her licensed real-estate work is disclosed here, but it remains separate from the Guide’s public editorial mission.

Public editorial work

The Guide documents and explains.

It is a public resource for understanding Sunnyside Gardens through architecture, planning, history and privacy-conscious research. It does not turn resident information into leads or present neighborhood evidence as advice about one home.

Licensed professional work

Property-specific guidance happens elsewhere.

Lauren Renee Bennett is a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker at The Corcoran Group. Representation, confidential property research and transaction strategy belong to that professional context—not to the Guide’s public record.

Research improves when the record is questioned. If something deserves another look, please say so.
